France detains suspect in 1980 Paris synagogue bombing


(Reuters) - A Lebanese-Canadian who is the main suspect in a 1980 bombing that killed four people outside a Paris synagogue was placed under formal investigation on Saturday, his lawyer told Reuters.

French police in 3rd day of 'big cat' hunt outside Paris 'haven't a clue'


French authorities have entered a third day in their hunt for a "big cat" that sparked panic this week after being sighted in the Paris suburbs.  

Montevrain town hall official Cedric Tartaud said Saturday that the "danger level" has dropped for residents but couldn't say what kind of cat it is.
